What is the difference between your Christmas Trees and the trees I usually buy from a Christmas tree lot?
Our trees come from the Armstrong Nursery Tree Farm in Oregon. They are grown under careful supervision and are trimmed and shaped year round. They are not harvested early like tree lot trees. They are guaranteed to be FRESH and FULL!
How are your Christmas Trees 25-40% cheaper than the ones on the local tree lots?
It's simple, we have eliminated the middle man mark-up and labor costs. As a charitable fundraising organization, we are able to sell you your Christmas Trees and Wreaths while eliminating the extra profit motive of a middleman. We don't have to pay to rent a tree lot and we have a labor force of nearly 60 strong, healthy baseball players along with parents and coaches, all of whom are volunteers.
How can I be sure the baseball player who sold me my tree gets credit in the coach's sales incentive program?
When you review your cart prior to checkiout, there is an opportunity for you to enter the name(s) of the player(s) connected to your purchase. Please click on the tab and enter the name(s) of the player(s) in the box and you will help them qualify for some great baseball gear.
Is it risky buying a tree from you when I am accustomed to picking out my own tree from a lot?
They say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Thanks to Mother Nature, all trees are a little different and they all have their own particular strengths. We are confident that every Christmas Tree we sell will satisfy even the most discriminating tree shopper. Along with the contribution you will be making to the Samohi Baseball program, it's a win-win for you and the student athletes you are supporting.
How does the TREES FOR TROOPS option work?
For a donation of $60, you will be supporting the Samohi Baseball program and a Christmas Tree will be donated to the family of an active duty military man or woman in California. You will receive a receipt for your purchase as this donation is fully tax-deductible and you will have brightened the holiday for a family that may not be together celebrating Christmas this year.
How does your DELIVERY option work?
If you purchase DELIVERY, your entire purchase will be delivered to your door on Saturday, December 3. Your Christmas Tree will get a fresh cut as it is loaded onto one of our delivery trucks. You have the convenience of choosing the early window or afternoon window to accept delivery of your purchases.
What if I am not home when you deliver my Christmas Tree and Wreaths?
If you are not home, your entire purchase will be left on your property in the most secure, shady spot the driver can find.
Will your delivery people set up my Christmas Tree in my house for me?
Unfortunately, our insurance limitations do not allow for our delivery personnel to enter your home. Hopefully, you have family, friends or neighbors who can assist you in setting up your Christmas Tree!
If delivery doesn't work for me, how do I get my purchases?
If you don't sign up for delivery, you must pick up your purchases on Saturday, December 3 at Samohi. We will have volunteers standing by to fill your order from 8am to 3pm at our tree storage area on the tennis courts along Olympic Blvd adjacent to the baseball field. If you haven't made special arrangements with us, any Christmas Trees and Wreaths left on our lot on Sunday will be donated to families in need through local church groups.
I heard the football team and girls basketball team are also selling Christmas Trees. Which group should I buy my tree and wreaths from?
The three Samohi athletic teams selling Christmas Trees to help fund their programs are working together. The Christmas Trees and Wreaths come from the same supplier and are of the same high quality. You may choose to buy your tree from the program you have a desire to support. In this online Christmas Tree Store, your purchase benefits the baseball program.
What if I already have my own Christmas Tree stand?
Bring your stand to Samohi when you pick up your tree and one of our tree volunteers will give your Christmas Tree a fresh cut and put it in your stand for you. If your Christmas Tree is being delivered, we will help you put it in a simple stand (similar to the ones we offer in our store) if no tool or drilling is required.
Can I buy a Wreath without buying a Christmas Tree?
Yes, you can purchase anything available at our online Christmas Tree Store. Perhaps you would consider a TREES FOR TROOPS donation if you are not shopping for a Christmas Tree this year.
How much longer do I have to order my Christmas Tree and Wreaths from you?
Our online Christmas Tree Store will be open through Tuesday, Nov. 15. After that, it will be too late to order from us and you will be stuck with higher prices and another Christmas Tree lot hassle this year!
